see you at quiltcon 2015!

December 11, 2014

I am, first and foremost, a Modern Quilter.  My long-time love for quilting combined with a new style when I went to architecture school.  The cleanliness and precision of it all. It’s inspiring.

At some point I found out about the Modern Quilt Guild and QuiltCon and I knew I had found a place where my work fit in.

After becoming a MQG member, I entered 9 quilts into QuiltCon 2015.  I’m not good at making cuts, so I entered them all.

The moment I checked my email, I saw a list of messages that began with, “Thank you for entering…”  Never a good sign.  For a split second I was filled with dread until I scrolled down a bit further to reveal FOUR messages beginning with “Congratulations!”

Some of my latest quilts are, quite frankly, insane.  The craziest of my submissions are the ones that made it, which fills me with an indescribable pride.  My work is evolving before my eyes.  I’m excited to see where I go next.
